Perk Beach Recreational Vehicle Park is a glorious campground nearby, and since you're here you can take a hike along the Big Foot Trail. White Pond gets a good deal of water; through March this area sees the most rain, and October is the month with the least moisture. This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike       along the Buckeye Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area; an out of the ordinary thing to visit right next door to White Pond is White Pond Dam. Stay the night at Lake-a-way Camp Grounds; dry warm beds await you at Inn On The Hill. Summertime highs at White Pond regularly tend to be in the 90's with night lows in the 70's. Throughout the wintertime this place gets highs in the 50's, and night lows through the winter for White Pond tend to                  be in the 30's. This lake is so wonderful. A golf course right next door to White Pond is Pine Burr Country Club, needless to say you could also check out Flint Creek Reservoir since you're here; it's not far at all. White Pond is a place with many visitors from Hattiesburg, and Best Western Woodstone is a great location to get some rest.
