If you came for an overnight stay Lake-a-way Camp Grounds is a pleasant place to camp, and hiking along the Buckeye Trail is splendid fun. The high level of precipitation makes White Pond a reasonably wet location; of all the months in a year March is the one with the most rain; the driest of the months is October. White Pond Dam is worth going to since you're here, and lots of folks       from Hattiesburg come here. And if you're still looking for more outdoors cool stuff just keep reading. A wonderful nearby hotel is Inn On The Hill, and you can have a fine hiking adventure along the Big Foot Trail. For the duration of the warm months at White Pond highs are ordinarily in the 90's. Throughout the dark hours of summer temperatures sink down into the 70's. During the wintertime this place gets highs in the 50's; through the dark hours in the wintertime                  at White Pond temperatures descend to the 30's. This lake is so wonderful. Camping is available at Perk Beach Recreational Vehicle Park, and do take a hike on the Black Creek Hiking Trail.
