At Thompson Lake you can catch a sight of Walnut Hills, and Thompson Lake is a glorious place to visit for more than one day, Ameristar Rv Park is a glorious place to camp nearby. For the duration of the long summer days at Thompson Lake highs are usually in the 90's while nighttime lows are usually in the 70's. For the duration       of the winter highs are in the 50's, and night lows at Thompson Lake during the winter frequently plunge into the 30's. The high level of precipitation makes Thompson Lake a rather wet spot; all through the month of March you get the most rain around here, and the driest of the months is August.
