Why not pop by Farm Land Company Lake Dam since you're here, and dry warm beds await you at Courtyard Vicksburg. Tent Lake usually gets a lot of precipitation; the month of December is the wettest with most of the rain, and September meanwhile is the driest month. This location is excellent, just explore all the enjoyable stuff to do close to Tent Lake. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Tent Lake has to offer, you can camp at Askew's Landing Campground,

Summer at Tent Lake comes with high temperatures in the 90's. For the duration of the dark hours of summer temperatures plunge down into the 70's. Throughout the wintertime the highs are usually in the 50's with winter lows in the 30's overnight here at Tent Lake. Visit Belches Bayou if you're here at Tent Lake. Battlefield Kampground is a good place for that. This lake is so wonderful. Comfort Suites Vicksburg is a splendid spot to get some rest; Tent Lake is not far at all from Vicksburg.
There are other places here than Tent Lake, for example Buzzard Lake, and a round of golf at nearby Clear Creek Golf Club is a pleasant way to kill some time.

She loves tent camping in state parks and national battlefields. I know that she was camping at Watega State Park, WV until Sunday (7/30) morning. She is also interested in Civil War battlefields and was at Shiloh National Military Park last week. We think she may be in your area.
