    Go to Sims Lake if you want to go to a nice lake. Summertime highs at Sims Lake usually tend to be in the 90's, and the nighttime is a bit chillier of course, usually in the 70's. The winter brings highs down to the 50's while Sims Lake overnight low temperatures throughout the winter are in the 30's. Not sufficient hours in a day to enjoy this site. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Sims Lake has to offer, you can camp at Okatoma River Resort,  
   and Sims Lake is a good place to visit for more than one day, Cypress Hill Resort is a good place to camp nearby.
A lake nearby is Owens Bluff Lake; if you need a spot to stay Hattiesburg Super 8 Motel is a great choice. The high level of rainfall makes Sims Lake a quite wet spot; December is when you get the most rain here, and October on the other hand is the driest. It's a splendid idea to explore Carters Creek, it's in close proximity to Sims Lake, and
 
               do take a hike on the Buckeye Trail.
At Sims Lake you always meet someone from Hattiesburg, and dry warm beds await you at Inn On The Hill. This lake is so wonderful. Hiking along the Black Creek Hiking Trail is brilliant fun, and if you get bored of Sims Lake you could also go to close by Wedgeworth Lake.
