At Shadow Lake through the days of summer highs are in the 90's, and the night is somewhat cooler of course, usually in the 60's. Daytime highs all through the wintertime are in the 50's; after the sun is down through the wintertime temperatures at Shadow Lake fall into the 20's. There's always Roosevelt State Park Lake Dam to go to next to Shadow Lake; there's brilliant hiking along       the Shockaloe Trail. All the water falling down from the sky makes Shadow Lake a wet place; the wettest month of the year is commonly December, that's the one that rains the most while October is typically the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. Camping is available at Pelahatchie Lake Campgrounds, and dry warm beds await you at Forest - Days Inn.
