For the period of the long summer days at Red Gap Lake highs are frequently in the 90's. Summer overnight lows drop down to the 70's. Throughout the winter highs are usually in the 50's while Red Gap Lake night low temperatures through the winter are in the 30's. Red Gap Lake is a quite wet place usually with a large amount of precipitation; through July this area sees the most rain while October       is ordinarily the driest month. Don't leave Red Gap Lake without first going for a hike along the Big Foot Trail; not far from Red Gap Lake you'll hit upon Red Gap Lakes which is a lovely lake. If you need a place to stay Best Western Woodstone is a glorious choice, and Red Gap Lake is delightful enough to spend more than a day at, Parker Lake RV Park is a delightful local campground. Red Gap Lake Dam is not far at all from Red Gap Lake, and Magnolia Plantation                  is a great place to get some rest. You just can't imagine the amount of outdoors fun stuff the area near Red Gap Lake has to offer. There's great hiking along the Tuxachanie Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Here at Red Gap Lake you'll in all probability meet some people from Gulfport-Biloxi.
