Don't miss out on a visit to Gulf Islands National Seashore while you're here at Peterson Lake, and Scott Paper Company Lake Dam is a scenic place. This lake is so wonderful. At Peterson Lake through the summertime months highs are in the 90's, and during the night it cools down to the 60's. Highs through the winter are       ordinarily in the 50's, and overnight lows all through the winter for Peterson Lake tend to be in the 30's. Don't you try to stop me, cause I'm havin' a good time here at Peterson Lake. If you want to check out some interesting stuff, check out Sandy Wash Bend, and there's some flowing water nearby, Reed Flat Creek is a stream you can check out during your stay. If you came for an overnight stay Bluff Creek Campgrounds is a nice spot to camp, and Green Dead River is a swamp in close proximity to Peterson Lake. Peterson Lake gets a good deal of water; the wettest month of the year is commonly July, that's the one that rains the most; October is when it's the driest. This lake is so wonderful.
