Old River Lake is a wet place that gets a large amount of precipitation; throughout the month of December you get the most rain around here, and the driest month is September. Through the warm days of summer at Old River Lake highs are regularly in the 90's, and through       summer nights temperatures are in the 70's. High temperatures throughout the wintertime are normally in the 50's; nighttime lows in the 30's for Old River Lake. A nice close by hotel is Hillcrest Inn, and if you're looking for some flowing water? Try Blue Bayou. This lake is so wonderful. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Old River Lake has to offer, you can camp at Battlefield Kampground; if you need a site to stay Relax Inn is a pleasant                  choice.
