    If you are traveling by, why not stop by Old River Cutoff. This is no location for people who don’t like to have a good time. There's some attention-grabbing stuff to see at Scenic Hills Club Lake Dam in the vicinity of Old River Cutoff. Old River Cutoff is a good place to visit for more than one day, Murphree's waterfront Camping is a good place to camp nearby; dry warm beds await you at Wingate by Wyndham Tupelo. Natchez Trace Parkway is a very glorious  
   place to stop at close to Old River Cutoff, and lakes are such serene places, why not explore Lake Itawamba.
Old River Cutoff gets a good deal of water; of all the months in a year March is the one with the most rain, and August on the other hand is the driest. All through the warm months, highs frequently are in the 80's at Old River Cutoff, and through the night it cools down to the 60's. High temperatures during the winter are normally in the 40's, and
 
               after the sun is down through the winter temperatures at Old River Cutoff drop into the 20's. Fulton Recreational Campground is a great campground nearby, and don't forget to take a pleasant little journey to Cummings Creek.
This lake is so wonderful. Fulton Days Inn is a brilliant place to get some rest, and there are other places here than Old River Cutoff, for example Queen Lake.
