Mixon Lakes sees pretty high levels of rain; of all the months in a year March is the one with the most rain; October on the other hand is the driest. Swamps like McCrea Dead River are fun to explore, and Gulf Islands National Seashore is a fine national park. The warmest time of the year at Mixon Lakes comes with high temperatures in the 90's. Through the dark hours of summer temperatures dip down into the 60's. The winter brings       highs down to the 50's while the cold winter nights at Mixon Lakes are in the 30's. Any time is a fine time at Mixon Lakes if you love the outdoors.
