The high level of precipitation makes Mitchel Lake a quite wet place; December is the month that gets the most rain while October is ordinarily the driest month. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 90's to Mitchel Lake with overnight lows in the 60's. During the       winter the highs are usually in the 40's while the cold winter nights at Mitchel Lake are in the 20's. Mitchell Lake Dam is scenic and it's near Mitchel Lake; while you're here, you could also go to beautiful Dees Pond.
