| | outdoors Days Inn is a pleasant place to spend a night or two; Pelahatchie Lake Campgrounds is a fine campground here. A wonderful close by hotel is Forest Motel; you can go for a hike on the Shockaloe Trail. All the water falling down from the sky makes Mill Pond a wet spot; the month of December is the wettest with most of the rain, and October is when it's the driest.
