     Camping is available at Lake Perry; there are plenty of folks from Hattiesburg here at McSwain Lake. High temperatures at McSwain Lake during the months of summer are in the 90's, and during summer nights temperatures are in the 70's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 50's with winter lows in the 30's overnight here at McSwain Lake. McSwain Lake sees pretty high levels of precipitation; during the month of March you get the most rain  
   around here, and the driest of the months is October. Why not camp at Deer Run Lake Hunting Lodge since you're here at McSwain Lake, and the Buckeye Trail is a great hiking trail close by.
If you love the outdoors, you'll have a thing about McSwain Lake. Not far from McSwain Lake, you'll stumble on Inland Lakes which is a beautiful lake. This lake is so wonderful. If the weather is nice here at McSwain Lake, you can go for a hike along the Black Creek Hiking
 
               Trail, and hey, Coleman Creek is a delightful local stream. There are other places here than McSwain Lake, for example Crane Lake, and if you need a place to stay Super 8 Motel - Hattiesburg is a fine choice.
