     Do visit Leaf Pond right next door to McLeod Pond, it's a picturesque lake, and a good nearby hotel is Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites LUCEDALE. A beautiful lake like Gator Hole Pond near McLeod Pond is a nice place to go to; Best Western Woodstone is a brilliant place to get some rest. A great location to camp here at McLeod Pond is Lake Perry, and at McLeod Pond you can distinguish Wolf Hill. McLeod Pond is a wet site that gets a good deal of rainfall;  
   the month with most of the rain is March, and the driest month of the year is October.
At McLeod Pond all through the warm months highs are in the 90's. Through the dark hours of summer temperatures descend down into the 60's. Through the winter this place gets highs in the 50's; overnight lows all through the wintertime for McLeod Pond tend to be in the 30's. This lake is so wonderful. Why not camp at Red Wolf Wilderness Adventures since you're here at
 
               McLeod Pond, and while you're here you can take a hike along the Black Creek Hiking Trail. You just can't envision the amount of outdoors cool stuff the area next to McLeod Pond has to offer.
