If time allows, Natchez Trace Parkway is a national park worth checking out. There's so much to do here at Lake Sequoyah that you need to camp here for a while, Tombigbee State Park is a wonderful location for that. A good deal of rainfall falls at Lake Sequoyah; March is when you get the most rain here, and October is when it's the driest. Lake Sequoyah in fact is in the middle of a striking outdoors paradise. Lots of people       from Tupelo come to Lake Sequoyah. After a long day outdoors Wingate by Wyndham Tupelo is a glorious place to spend a night or two; Lake Piomingo Dam is a gorgeous location. If you need a place to stay Jameson Inn Tupelo is a great choice, and you're probably addicted to lakes, Lake Piomingo is one of those close by. This lake is so wonderful. Big Oaks Golf Course is a glorious golf course nearby. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Lake                  Sequoyah has to offer, you can camp at Campground At Barnes Crossing. All through the summer months at Lake Sequoyah temperatures are commonly in the 90's, and throughout the night it cools down to the 60's.
