Dry warm beds await you at Holiday Inn Columbus, Ms, and Kennedy Lake is a great place to visit for more than one day, Town Creek Recreation Area is a great place to camp nearby. Best Western Executive Suites is a good place to get some rest. Take a side spree to Town Creek, and if you're interested in cool geologic features try Boatyard Bluff.       There are other places here than Kennedy Lake, for example Mealer Lake; during your spree here you'll meet some folks from Columbus for sure. This lake is so wonderful. Not far from Kennedy Lake, you'll come across Officers Lake which is a wonderful lake, and if you're here you can play some golf at Green Oaks Golf Club. The high level of precipitation makes Kennedy Lake a reasonably wet place; December is the wettest month with most rain, and the driest month                  of the year is August. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Kennedy Lake has to offer, you can camp at Indian Mound Campground RV Park, and why not pop by Williams Lake Dam since you're here. At Kennedy Lake during the summer highs are in the 90's with night lows in the 70's.
