Kates Pond is a rather wet place usually with a lot of precipitation; the wettest month of the year is mostly July, that's the one that rains the most; the driest month is October. Gulf Islands National Seashore is a tremendous national park; Riverbend Park Resort is a wonderful local campground. A delightful nearby hotel is SUPER 8 MOTEL - MOSS POINT/PASCAGOULA, and some of the water nearby flows,       like Jonican Bayou. You're perhaps hooked on lakes, Ware Lake is one of those nearby, and after a long day outdoors Comfort Inn Moss Point is a wonderful spot to spend a night or two. This lake is so wonderful. During the warm months at Kates Pond highs are frequently in the 90's. Once the sun is down it drops down to the 60's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 50's, and night lows in the 30's for Kates Pond. This lake is so wonderful. Long Point                  is close to Kates Pond and is a great spot to have a look at; for you golfers we recommend nearby Mississippi National Golf Club Linkscorp. Why not camp at Bluff Creek Campgrounds if you're here at Kates Pond; swamps can be such interesting locations, pop by Big Bear Bayou if you're here at Kates Pond. And if that's not enough, there's heaps more to do close to Kates Pond.
