Kates Lake gets a large amount of water; July is the month that gets the most rain; October on the other hand is the driest. This lake is so wonderful. A journey to Gulf Islands National Seashore is worthwhile,       and a fine site to camp here at Kates Lake is Riverbend Park Resort. Summertime at Kates Lake comes with high temperatures in the 90's. All through the dark hours of summer temperatures dip down into the 60's.
