Janney Lake is magnificent enough to spend more than a day at, Deer Run Lake Hunting Lodge is a magnificent local campground, and if you've had enough of Janney Lake, Ashe Lake is close by. Janney Lake commonly gets a good deal of precipitation; December is when you get the most rain here, and the driest of the months is October. All the outdoors fun things       in close proximity to Janney Lake will keep you coming back again and again. There's wonderful hiking along the Black Creek Hiking Trail, and nice hiking is available along the Buckeye Trail. This lake is so wonderful. If you came to camp Cypress Hill Resort is a tremendous place to do that, and people from Hattiesburg love to come here. Best Western Woodstone is a brilliant site to get some rest, naturally you could also stop at Sportsman Lake if you're here;                  it's not far at all. Throughout the days of summer at Janney Lake highs are commonly in the 90's. Once the sun is down it sinks down to the 70's.
