All the water falling down from the sky makes Janney Lake a wet place; December is when you get the most rain here while October is the month with the least amount of precipitation. If you want a magnificent time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Janney Lake. Through the warm months here at Janney Lake, high temperatures commonly get into the 90's while nighttime lows are typically       in the 70's. For the period of the winter the highs are commonly in the 50's; nighttime lows in the 30's for Janney Lake. The fine folks of Hattiesburg like to hang out close by, and do take a hike on the Black Creek Hiking Trail. Inn On The Hill is a great place to get some rest, and a magnificent place to camp here at Janney Lake is Cypress Hill Resort. After a long day outdoors Hattiesburg Super 8 Motel is a nice site to spend a night or two; why not take                  a refreshing hike along the Buckeye Trail. This lake is so wonderful.
