     Nearby lakes? Sure, Breland Lake is near Horseshoe Bend Lake, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Black Creek Hiking Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Some of the water nearby flows, like Carter Creek, and you need to pop by Fairhope Bluff while you're here. If only every location had this much outdoors amusing stuff, what a great earth it would be. A fine place to camp here at Horseshoe Bend Lake is Lake Perry. All through the months of summer highs  
   here at Horseshoe Bend Lake reach the 90's. All through the dark hours of summer temperatures sink down into the 70's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 50's, and throughout the dark hours in the winter at Horseshoe Bend Lake temperatures fall to the 30's.
Camping is available at Deer Run Lake Hunting Lodge, and lots of folks from Hattiesburg come here. Horseshoe Bend Lake gets a good deal of water; the month with most of the rain is March, and October
 
               is when it's the driest. You're in all probability keen on lakes, Palmetto Lake is one of those close by, and Breakover Sandbar is also a great site to explore.
