There's so much to do here at Hogpen Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Leake County water Park is a good place for that. This lake is so wonderful. Not far from Hogpen Lake, you'll stumble on Long Lake which is a gorgeous lake; after a long day outdoors Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites FOREST is a tremendous site to spend a night or two. Gravel Slough flows through this area. Lots of precipitation falls       at Hogpen Lake; of all the months in a year December is the one with the most rain, and September is the month with the least moisture. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Hogpen Lake; Shockaloe Trail is a delightful local trail, and if you came to camp Coal Bluff Park Campground is a pleasant place to do that. Summertime at Hogpen Lake comes with high temperatures in the 90's. Through the moonlight hours it's mostly in the 60's.
