     If you get bored of Green Lake, you could also go to close by Hillman Dead River; Gulf Islands National Seashore is one of the destinations that are great to take a look at nearby. Green Lake is glorious enough to spend more than a day at, Red Wolf Wilderness Adventures is a glorious local campground, and at McLain Sewage Lagoon Dam next to Green Lake there are some exciting things to see. At Green Lake you can distinguish Gee Dee Hills. There's so much to  
   do here at Green Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Lake Perry is a fine site for that. This lake is so wonderful. It's a good idea to stop by Atkinson Creek, it's close to Green Lake, and a lake nearby is Black Lake.
Summertime highs at Green Lake ordinarily tend to be in the 90's. When the night sets in temperatures plunge down into the 60's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 50's, and overnight lows in the 30's for Green Lake. And if that's
 
               not enough, there's a load more to do near Green Lake. After a long day outdoors Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites LUCEDALE is a good site to spend a night or two. Green Lake is a wet site that gets lots of rain; the wettest month of the year is frequently March, that's the one that rains the most while October is generally the driest month.
