Lakes? Sure, Brushy Lake is close by, and the views at Poverty Point National Monument will blow your mind. But wait, there's more to do in close proximity to Goose Lake. At Goose Lake throughout the warm months highs are in the 90's. Once the sun is down it sinks down to the 70's. For the duration of the winter highs are in the 50's while Goose Lake overnight low temperatures through the wintertime are in the 30's. This lake is so wonderful. Jones Lake is

| | a good lake close to Goose Lake, and after a long day outdoors Days Inn Tallulah is a delightful place to spend a night or two.
Goose Lake is a place with many visitors from Tallulah, and Horizon Casino Vicksburg is a nice spot to get some rest. Goose Lake is a good place to visit for more than one day, River City RV Park is a good place to camp nearby, and Ameristar Rv Park is a fine local campground. Goose Lake gets a great deal of water; throughout the month of March you get the most rain around here, and the driest of the months is August.

I have been doing some research on levee breaks and the larger ones (like Cabin Teele and Mounds Landing in Mississippi) usually gouge out a lake when it breaks. She loves tent camping in state parks and national battlefields. I know that she was camping at Watega State Park, WV until Sunday (7/30) morning. She is also interested in Civil War battlefields and was at Shiloh National Military Park last week. We think she may be in your area.
I would greatly appreciate it if you would alert the campgrounds in your parks, especially around battlefields.
