Elks Lake is a wet spot that gets a great deal of precipitation; most of the rain falls during December, and October meanwhile is the driest month. Elks Lake is pleasant enough to spend more than a day at, Okatoma River Resort is a pleasant local campground, and Elks Lake is not the only spot nearby, Beaver Lake is a nearby lake. Inn On The Hill is a great place to get some rest, and there are plenty of folks from Hattiesburg here       at Elks Lake. Throughout the summertime here at Elks Lake, high temperatures generally get into the 90's. When the night sets in temperatures drop down into the 70's. Daytime highs throughout the wintertime are in the 50's, and during the dark hours in the winter at Elks Lake temperatures sink to the 30's. A lake close by is Sumrall Lake; if you came to camp Cypress Hill Resort is a great place to do that. This lake is so wonderful.
