Lakes are great; Sumrall Lake is a lake that's close to Elks Lake. Playing golf is lots of fun at Pine Creek Golf Club, and if you came to camp Cypress Hill Resort is a great location to do that. This lake is so wonderful. The wonderful people of Hattiesburg like to hang out nearby, and there are great spots to look at along the Black Creek Hiking Trail. Be careful coming to Elks Lake, you might       not ever wanna go back home again. Not far from Elks Lake, you'll come across Beaver Lake which is a pretty lake, and going for a hike on the Buckeye Trail is always a tremendous adventure. During the summer here at Elks Lake, high temperatures generally get into the 90's. When the night sets in temperatures descend down into the 70's. Highs all through the wintertime are ordinarily in the 50's, and overnight lows in the 30's for Elks Lake.
