Elder Lake frequently gets a large amount of precipitation; March is the month that gets the most rain, and the driest of the months is October. After a long day outdoors Super 8 Booneville is a pleasant place to spend a night or two. This lake is so wonderful. Best Western College Inn is a perfect location to get some rest, of course you could also explore Booneville Lake       if you're here; it's not far at all. There's just no way someone can get bored here at Elder Lake. Natchez Trace Parkway is a glorious local destination here at Elder Lake. There's so much to do here at Elder Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Piney Grove Campground is a nice place for that. Boyer Creek flows through this vicinity, and Elders Lake Dam is a lovely place. Stay the night at Little Creek Ranch, and a round of golf at nearby Rolling                  Hills Golf Course is a glorious way to kill some time. High temperatures at Elder Lake throughout the months of summer are in the 90's, and during summer nights temperatures are in the 60's.
