Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always stop at nearby Mantee Lake, and a nice site to camp here at Childs Lake is Davis Lake Campground. Childs Lake Dam has great water scenery and it's close to Childs Lake. All the water falling down from the sky makes Childs Lake a wet location; through the month of December you get the most rain around       here while August is mostly the driest month. If you need a spot to stay Hotel Chester is a great choice, and do take a hike on the Witch Dance Horse Trail. At Childs Lake throughout the days of summer highs are in the 90's, and throughout summer nights temperatures are in the 60's. Throughout the wintertime this place gets highs in the 50's, and night lows at Childs Lake during the wintertime usually dip into the 30's. This is a magnificent neighborhood                  for people who like lakes.
