If you fancy the outdoors, you'll go for Carson Pond. All through the months of summer at Carson Pond highs are mostly in the 90's. Once the sun is down it sinks down to the 60's. The winter comes with highs in the 50's with winter lows in the 30's overnight here at Carson Pond. After a long day outdoors Holiday       Inn Express Hotel & Suites FOREST is a good site to spend a night or two, and camping at Frog Level RV Park is always a nice experience. This lake is so wonderful. Days Inn Newton is a splendid place to get some rest; good water scenery is available at E J Pearson Lake Dam in the neighborhood of Carson Pond. There are other spots here than Carson Pond, for example Community Pond, and Carson Pond is good enough to spend more than a day at, Patrons Union Campground                  is a good local campground.
