Best Western Woodstone is a brilliant place to get some rest, and tremendous hiking is available along the Tuxachanie Trail. Blue Lake gets a lot of water; during the month of August you get the most rain around here, and the driest month of the year is October. Stay the night at Lake-a-way Camp Grounds; there are other sites here than Blue Lake, for example Fish Lake. Some nearby water       includes Flint Creek, and Big Island is a glorious place here at Blue Lake. The Black Creek Hiking Trail offers hiking at its best, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Blue Lake; Big Foot Trail is a good local trail. At Blue Lake through the long summer days highs are in the 90's. All through the dark hours of summer temperatures sink down into the 70's. High temperatures during the winter are normally in the 60's, and winter nights come with lows in                  the 30's to Blue Lake. There's so much to do here at Blue Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Bigfork Trail Riders Campground is a great place for that, and if you have time to spare, Gulf Islands National Seashore is a national park worth visiting. All the outdoors fun things in the vicinity of Blue Lake will keep you coming back many times. Why not check out Merts Bond Lake Dam since you're here, and dry warm beds await you at Western Motel.
