Gulf Islands National Seashore is a perfect local destination here at Black Lake. Take a little visit to Big Oktibee Creek if you're here at Black Lake, and do visit Horseshoe Lake, it's a pretty lake. Black Lake generally gets a good deal of precipitation; the wettest month of the       year is typically March, that's the one that rains the most, and October is the month with the least moisture. Summertime highs at Black Lake mostly tend to be in the 90's, and through summer nights temperatures are in the 60's. Highs during the wintertime are regularly in the 50's; winter nights come with lows in the 30's to Black Lake. This lake is so wonderful.
