After a long day outdoors Canton-Days Inn is a wonderful place to spend a night or two, and of course Big Lake Run is a pretty stream that is worth taking a look at. Summer at Big Black Lake comes with high temperatures in the 90's with night lows in the 70's. All through the winter highs are ordinarily in the 50's; overnight lows at Big Black Lake during the wintertime usually dip into the 30's. Big Black Lake is great       enough to spend more than a day at, Mississippi Petrified Forest is a great local campground, and a good close by hotel is Quality Inn Canton. Big Black Lake is a wet place that gets much rainfall; December is when you get the most rain here, and August meanwhile is the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. Lots of people from Yazoo City come to Big Black Lake.
