Baker Lake is a wet place that gets a good deal of rain; of all the months in a year December is the one with the most rain, and the driest month of the year is August. Some close by water includes Big Sand Creek, and a good swamp in the vicinity of Baker Lake is Ben Slough. High temperatures at Baker Lake during the summer are in the 90's with overnight       lows in the 70's. Throughout the winter highs are in the 50's with temperatures at Baker Lake dipping down into the 30's through winter nights.
