     Willer Lake is always a pleasure to visit. Willer Lake gets a common amount of rain; during the month of July you get the most rain around here, and February is the month with the least moisture. But wait, there's more to do in close proximity to Willer Lake. Willer Lake Dam is scenic and it's next to Willer Lake; after a long day outdoors Keokuk Super 8 Motel is a brilliant site to spend a night or two. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Willer  
   Lake has to offer, you can camp at Hickory Haven Campground, and Fairfield Inn By Marriott Keokuk is a pleasant place to get some rest.
Do have a look at Willer Lake Section 32 in close proximity to Willer Lake, it's a scenic lake, and soar down the rapids of Bear Creek in a kayak. This lake is so wonderful. If you're popping by Willer Lake from Keokuk-Fort Madison, you won't be the only one, and if you're here, you could also stop by pretty Marks Lake.
 
               Summertime highs at Willer Lake frequently tend to be in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures descend down into the 60's. All through the winter this place gets highs in the 30's, and after the sun is down during the winter temperatures at Willer Lake dip into the 10's. There's so much to do here at Willer Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Camp Hickory Haven is a pleasant location for that, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Cedar Creek.

In response to keith's note. I've kayaked Cedar Creek several times. During heavy rain events the creek is VERY wild. And while yes it is bony, it's a fun ride.. especially since it's one of the only places to get above a class II ride around quincy. Additionally, DO NOT go to bear creek unless you plan on doing some flat water near where it meets the mississippi river. Any further upstream and you'll be dealing with hostile landowners who aren't aware of the navigability laws in illinois. You'll probably be met by a sherrif on the take out. See uploaded picture of cedar creek a couple of years ago....
