This lake is so wonderful. A wonderful location for whitewater paddling close to Whitewood Lake is Castor River, and a good close by hotel is Comfort Inn Perryville. Do stop by Whitewood Lake Dam since you're here at Whitewood Lake; Whitewood Lake is a nice location to visit for more than one day, Perryville/Cape Girardeau KOA is a nice location to camp nearby. You clearly should love the Ozarks. Microtel Inn and       Suites Sainte Genevieve is a great place to get some rest, and if you've had enough of Whitewood Lake, Lake Perry is nearby. Whitewood Lake is one of the lakes here in the Ozarks. Man, is there a heap of entertaining stuff to do in the Ozarks. Whitewood Lake is in close proximity to Martin Hollow which is definitely worth taking a look at. What a place this is for outdoors people. Good hiking is available along the John J Audubon Trail, and Whitewood Lake                  is not the only place close by, Mallard Lake is a close by lake. For the period of the long summer days at Whitewood Lake temperatures are regularly in the 80's, and the overnight is slightly cooler of course, usually in the 60's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 30's, and nighttime lows during the wintertime for Whitewood Lake tend to be in the 10's.
