This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike on the Swan Lake National Wildlife Refuge Habitat Trail is always a splendid adventure, and not far from Wheelbarger Lake you get some great water scenery at Avwarter Dam. From a precipitation point of view Wheelbarger Lake is a relatively typical place; during September this area sees the most rain; the driest month is February. Florence Hotel is a nice place to get some       rest, and obviously, this is a delightful vicinity for folks who like lakes, Button Lake is a lake nearby.
