Not far from Walker South Lake, you'll discover Alexander Lake which is a scenic lake; float down the rapids of Meramec River in a kayak. The Ozarks scenery is always beautiful. You'll truly wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the amusing things in the Ozarks. This lake is so wonderful. If you came for an overnight stay Meramec Valley Camp Resort is a fine spot to camp, and McDade Branch is close to Walker       South Lake and is always a delight to explore. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 80's to Walker South Lake, and through the night it cools down to the 60's. For the duration of the winter this place gets highs in the 40's; through the dark hours in the wintertime at Walker South Lake temperatures fall to the 10's. An interesting thing to go to in the neighborhood of Walker South Lake is Walker South Lake Dam, and Blue Moon RV Park and Horse Motel                  is a perfect campground nearby.
