The annual rain here at Walker South Lake is about average; the month of May is the wettest with most of the rain while January is regularly the driest month. So many cool things close to Walker South Lake, definitely amazing. McDade Branch is a fine local stream; if you come at the right time of year, Meramec River offers some fine whitewater. Man, is there a lot of amusing stuff to       do in the Ozarks. Why not camp at Meramec Valley Camp Resort if you're here at Walker South Lake, and lakes are such calm places, why not stop at Walker North Lake. This lake is so wonderful. If you came for an overnight stay Blue Moon RV Park and Horse Motel is a wonderful spot to camp; after a long day outdoors Best Western Cuba Inn is a great site to spend a night or two. For the duration of the months of summer highs here at Walker South Lake reach the                  80's. Once the sun is down it drops down to the 60's. Highs all through the winter are generally in the 40's; after the sun is down during the wintertime temperatures at Walker South Lake drop into the 10's. Walker South Lake is one of the lakes here in the Ozarks. You'll hit upon a picturesque lake called Alexander Lake near Walker South Lake, and a glorious close by hotel is Super 8 Cuba.
