     W J Slais Lake gets a normal amount of annual rain; most of the rain falls all through May; the driest month is January. For the duration of the summer at W J Slais Lake highs are generally in the 80's. For the duration of the dark hours of summer temperatures dip down into the 60's. For the period of the wintertime this place gets highs in the 40's, and during the dark hours in the winter at W J Slais Lake temperatures plunge to the 10's. There's no way someone  
   can get bored here in the Ozarks. A delightful place for whitewater paddling near W J Slais Lake is Meramec River; probably you're looking for close by lakes? Sure, Tea Lakes is just a very short distance away.
You can take a little tour to W J Slais Dam if you're here at W J Slais Lake, and some nearby water includes Black Oak Branch. After a long day outdoors Super 8 Cuba is a nice place to spend a night or two, and if you've had enough of W J Slais
 
               Lake, Tea Lake is nearby. This lake is so wonderful. Best Western Cuba Inn is a tremendous place to get some rest, and if you came for an overnight stay Oak Grove Trailer Park is a wonderful place to camp.
Not sufficient hours in a day to enjoy this place. Ozark Outdoors Riverfront Resort is a great campground nearby. This lake is located in the wonderful Ozarks.

Tea Lakes is a 210 acre conservation area located 6 1/2 miles south of Rosebud, Mo. on Highway T. You may visit the area during the day and talk to David Jordan the area caretaker. There are 5 fishing lakes, primitive campsites, playground, MO. Native/Plants of Merit garden recognized by the Missouri Botanical Gardens in St. Louis, Mo., boy and girl scout camping areas, shelters for picnics and gatherings. There are several hiking trails, however, we are in the process of remapping these trails and some will not be usable for the summer. This is a small organization and a small membership fee is required in order to use the facilities after the initial trial/camp/visit. We welcome anyone who is conservation minded, wants a place to visit away from the hustle and bustle of the city and just enjoys the great outdoors.
