    A visit to W E Wilton Lake is always a good idea. This lake is so wonderful. Good hiking is available along the Kaintuck Trail, and Mainstay Suites Saint Robert is a perfect place to get some rest. W E Wilton Lake is a good location of typical rain; May is when you get the most rain here; the driest month of the year is January. All through the long summer days, highs usually are in the 90's at W E Wilton Lake. All through the dark hours of summer temperatures  
   fall down into the 60's. During the winter highs are in the 40's while the cold winter nights at W E Wilton Lake are in the 10's.
You just can't envision the amount of outdoors enjoyable stuff the Ozarks has to offer. You don’t have to go far from W E Wilton Lake to make out the water at W E Wilton Dam, and at W E Wilton Lake you always meet someone from Fort Leonard Wood.                peaceful sites, why not explore Wheeler Lake in the neighborhood of W E Wilton Lake; a glorious nearby hotel is Home Towne Suites. So many fun things to do at W E Wilton Lake, so little time. If you're here at W E Wilton Lake and you like golf, you can go to Oak Hills Country Club, and if you came for an overnight stay Roubidoux Springs Campground is a great place to camp.
Why not camp at Bluegrass Pickin' Time Campground since you're here at W E Wilton Lake; you'll stumble on a lovely lake called Cardin Lake. This lake is so wonderful. This lake is located in the wonderful Ozarks.
It's a perfect idea to check out Middle Creek, it's close to W E Wilton Lake, and hiking is a popular thing to do around W E Wilton Lake; Big Piney National Scenic Trail is a fine local trail.

...w that you are on a bridge. From the bottom it looks like a large, deep cave through which light doesn't travel because of a bend in the tunnel. Follow the trail around the hill and you will find the other opening. Next time I will bring a flashlight so that I can explore a little.

The trails are popular with horseback riders and are as wide as sidewalks most of the time. In most places and the footing is good. A small percentage of the trail is made up of loose rock that can be bad for a weak ankle.

My only complaint is that the map I have is not accurate and the markers on the trees don't lend much confidence. Today I wound up walking an extra two hours because of a wrong turn. Looking at the Internet maps, I still can't find the path I was walking or the fenced meadows. In one spot the trail went through a chained gate. I didn't know if I would be trespassing so I turned right, followed a path around the field and found myself on some dirt road that is not marked.
