Once the sun is down it plunges down to the 60's. Throughout the winter this place gets highs in the 40's, and night lows during the winter for Vinson Pond tend to be in the 20's. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Black River - East Fork, and as expected Vinson Branch flows through this area. Much precipitation falls       at Vinson Pond; of all the months in a year November is the one with the most rain; January on the other hand is the driest. Having a delightful time in the Ozarks is easy. There's whitewater on Taum Sauk Creek for all you adrenaline kick people, and Ozark National Scenic River is a perfect national park. You just can't picture the amount of outdoors fun stuff the Ozarks has to offer. Deer Creek Campground and River Outfitters is a wonderful campground nearby;                  if the weather is pretty, you acquire a great vista of Round Hill from Vinson Pond. This place is excellent, just look at all the exciting things to do in the neighborhood of Vinson Pond. Bearcat Gateway is a brilliant local campground, and if you're here, you could also stop by scenic Bowles Pond. Vinson Pond is one of the lakes here in the Ozarks. This lake is so wonderful.
