     And if that's not enough there's heaps more exciting stuff to do in the Ozarks. Whitewater paddling is great on Brewers Creek, and camping at Cherokee Landing is always a fine experience. A brilliant close by hotel is Super 8 Bonne Terre, and if the weather is fine, you can go for a hike along the Taum Sauk Trail. Just can't get enough of the Ozarks. Here at Vineyards Lake there are plenty of people from Farmington, and paddling on Stouts Creek is so much fun.
 
   This lake is so wonderful. The scenery at Vineyards Twin Lakes Lower Dam in the vicinity of Vineyards Lake is delightful; Vineyards Lake is great enough to spend more than a day at, St Joe State Park is a great local campground. Lakes are tremendous; Vineyards Twin Lakes is a lake that's near Vineyards Lake, and from Vineyards Lake you obtain a glorious vista of Middle Mountain. Just can't get enough of Vineyards Lake. Not far from Vineyards Lake, you'll come across  
               Donald Straus Lake which is a picturesque lake; after a long day outdoors Lodge at Eagle Lake is a fine place to spend a night or two.
Vineyards Lake gets a typical amount of precipitation; March is the wettest month with most rain while January is usually the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. On a good day at Vineyards Lake you can take a hike along the Silver Mine Trail. High temperatures at Vineyards Lake during the summertime are in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures fall down into the 60's. For the duration of the winter highs are generally in the 40's with temperatures at Vineyards Lake dipping down into the 20's throughout winter nights.
This lake is one of the great places here in the Ozarks.

STOP the draining of our lake! there are animals dieing because of it! there was also more money spent here in north dakota when the lake was a lot fuller. come look and see what damage your stupid missouri is costing at the lake! i go there every year and more and more water is gone for what? notheing! now that there is not a lot of water left people have to find a a different place to go. they cant even keep there boats at fort stevenson because it is BONE DRY! missouri, you need to close down your falls because there is more money made here and it not fair that a NATIONAL PARK Can Not survive because of you!! there should be no reason why a NAtional park should close. also the lake was here before your stupid idea even came around. there for it is our right to protect what we have:our future,homes, and last but not least, our lake and population....
