     Dry warm beds await you at Days Inn Mexico, and you can have a great hiking adventure along the Lick Creek Trail. If you need a spot to stay New Florence Days Inn is a delightful choice. This lake is so wonderful. Kan-Do Kampground and RV Park is a splendid campground nearby, and if you're here you can take a hike along the Hickory Bluff Trail. Summer brings highs in the 80's to Vandalia Lake. Summer night lows descend down to the 60's. During the winter highs  
   are in the 30's while the cold winter nights at Vandalia Lake are in the 10's.
Vandalia Lake is a place with many visitors from Mexico, and hey, Bear Slough is a pleasant local stream. What a location this is for outdoors people. Alton Lake is a great lake right next door to Vandalia Lake; Vandalia Community Lake Dam is an out of the ordinary thing to check out. The amount of precipitation that falls at Vandalia Lake is close to the national average; May is
 
               the month that gets the most rain; the driest month is January.

...as staying for 4 years and for whom this lot was better suited with multi-level cement areas and flower beds.

Lot 34 was a gravel pull through which was level and just fine. All lots have picnic tables and burn rings.

The owners, Kathy & Drew, were very helpful to us and very nice and accommodating. They plan family events for the campers and have a nice little store area for essentials. Just before we left, they were going to begin having homemade muffins and to-die-for cinnamon rolls at the store.

It is very dog friendly which is important to us.

The wi-fi works well and has an excellent signal.

The campground is easy to locate from I-70 Danville Exit and is quiet and has nice grounds including trails through the woods for hiking and enjoying nature. The swimming pool was closed for the winter as the weather was cool while we were there, so I didn't use the pool.

We did not use the bathrooms, showers or laundry facilities while there, though they do have them.

We would definitely stay there again and in fact do plan to stay there whe...
