This lake is one of the great places here in the Ozarks. Why not camp at Wild Boar Ridge Campground while you're here at Upper Pool, and probably you're looking for close by lakes? Sure, Upper Reservoir is just a very short distance away. If you love the outdoors you'll love it here in the Ozarks. Take a little journey to Imboden Fork while you're here at Upper Pool; close by you stumble on the Taum Sauk Trail which       is a great hiking trail. A good deal of rain falls at Upper Pool; most of the rain falls through March, and the driest month of the year is January. Glide down the rapids of Taum Sauk Creek in a kayak; if you need a spot to stay Black River Family Restaurant is a perfect choice. You assume that's sufficient? Just getting warmed up. There's some exciting stuff to distinguish at Taum Sauk Upper Dam in the neighborhood of Upper Pool; going for a hike on the                  Crane Lake Trail is always a delightful adventure. This site, the Ozarks, has so much outdoors fun things. Go for a hike on the Trace Creek Trail. All through the warmest time of the year highs here at Upper Pool get into the 80's. During the moonlight hours it's generally in the 60's. All through the winter highs are typically in the 40's, and after the sun is down during the winter temperatures at Upper Pool descend into the 20's. This lake is so wonderful.
