Kathy: Tea Lakes is a 210 acre conservation area located 6 1/2 miles south of Rosebud, Mo. on Highway T. You may visit the area during the day and talk to David Jordan the area caretaker. There are 5 fishing lakes, primitive campsites, playground, MO. Native/Plants of Merit garden recognized by the Missouri Botanical Gardens in St. Louis, Mo., boy and girl scout camping areas, shelters for picnics and gatherings. There are several hiking trails, however, we are in the process of remapping these trails and some will not be usable for the summer. This is a small organization and a small membership fee is required in order to use the facilities after the initial trial/camp/visit. We welcome anyone who is conservation minded, wants a place to visit away from the hustle and bustle of the city and just enjoys the great outdoors. The beauty of Tea Lakes is reason enough to stop by. This lake is so wonderful. You're most likely keen on lakes, W J Slais Lake is one of those nearby, and there are some tremendous whitewater spots on Meramec River. Yep, outdoors entertaining stuff truly is plentiful here in the Ozarks. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Tea Lakes has to offer, you can camp at Oak Grove Trailer Park, and dry warm beds await you at Best Western Cuba Inn. The

The wintertime brings highs down to the 40's; nighttime lows at Tea Lakes during the wintertime frequently drop into the 10's. Lake is just a very short distance away. The Ozarks scenery is always beautiful. You just can't picture the amount of outdoors exciting things the area near Tea Lakes has to offer. From a rain point of view Tea Lakes is a quite
common place; the month of May is the wettest with most of the rain while January is typically the driest month. If you need a location to stay Super 8 Motel - Cuba is a good choice, and getting to Block Branch from Tea Lakes is uncomplicated.
