Not sufficient hours in a day to enjoy this location. Walnut Grove Campground is a pleasant local campground, and a round of golf at nearby Golf Club is a great way to kill some time. After a long day outdoors Best Western Classic Inn is a glorious spot to spend a night or two, and a picturesque       lake like Komer Lake is a great place to have a look at. The amount of rain that falls at Swanson Lake is close to the national average; most of the rain falls during September while January is commonly the driest month. All through the summer at Swanson Lake temperatures are regularly in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures descend down into the 60's. The winter brings highs down to the 30's, and through the dark hours in the wintertime at Swanson Lake                  temperatures plunge to the 10's. This lake is so wonderful. If you came for an overnight stay Beacon RV Park is a great site to camp; Swanson Lake is not far at all from St. Joseph.
