You'll need more than a day to discover everything Smith Lake has to offer, you can camp at Crooked Creek Campground; hiking along the Cedar Creek Hiking Trail is magnificent fun. If you need a location to stay Holiday       Inn Express Columbia - Regional Hospital A is a good choice, and the scenery at Smith Dam is stunning. The yearly rain here at Smith Lake is about average; during May this area sees the most rain while January is the month with the least amount of precipitation. The warmest time of the year at Smith Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 80's. Summer nighttime lows sink down to the 60's. During the winter highs are in the 30's with winter lows in the 10's                  overnight here at Smith Lake.
