There's some exciting stuff to make out at Cedar Lake Dam near Smith Lake, and Devils Icebox is a pretty spot any time of year. This lake is so wonderful. Lakes are such peaceful places, why not go to Cedar Lake in the neighborhood of Smith Lake, and if you need a location to stay Regency Hotel Downtown is a perfect choice. All through the days of summer, highs mostly are in the 80's       at Smith Lake with overnight lows in the 60's. Highs throughout the wintertime are generally in the 30's; after the sun is down through the winter temperatures at Smith Lake sink into the 10's. This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike on the Cedar Creek Hiking Trail is always a splendid adventure. You assume that's sufficient? Just getting warmed up. You'll meet a lot of folks from Columbia here, and Hinkson Creek has a great whitewater paddling spot                  nearby. You'll find a pretty lake called Perry Phillips Lake near Smith Lake, and camping at Pine Grove Village MHP is always a splendid experience. Smith Lake is a good place of normal rainfall; May is the month that gets the most rain, and January is the month with the least moisture. Cave Creek is near Smith Lake and is always a delight to have a look at, and University of Missouri-Columbia Gustin Golf Course is a golf course close by.
