Go to Slime Pond if you want to go to a nice lake. And if that's not enough, there's a heap more to do close to Slime Pond. If you came for an overnight stay Cherokee Landing is a good place to camp, and there are other places here than Slime Pond, for example Lakeview Park Lake. Slime Pond is a good location of common rain; May is the wettest month with most rain, and February is the month with the least moisture. Summer at Slime Pond arrives with high temperatures

This lake is so wonderful. The Taum Sauk Trail is a wonderful hiking trail near Slime Pond, and not far from Slime Pond you'll discover Cedar Lake which is a delightful lake. all you adrenaline junkies. If the weather is nice here at Slime Pond, you can go for a hike along the Silver Mine Trail, and dry warm beds await you at Super 8 Motel Bonne Terre.
The scenery at Saint Joe State Park Dam in close
proximity to Slime Pond is lovely; get your heart beating on the nice whitewater of St. Francis River. This lake is one of the great places here in the Ozarks. This lake is so wonderful. Eagle Lake Golf Club is a great golf course
nearby, and lots of people from Farmington come here.
Be careful coming to the Ozarks, you might not ever want to return back home again. A quick trip to Harris Branch in the vicinity of Slime Pond is a good idea, and Lodge at Eagle Lake is a glorious spot to get some rest.

why drain a national park's lake? this is all we have up here and now there is little left! STOP the draining of our lake! there are animals dieing because of it! there was also more money spent here in north dakota when the lake was a lot fuller. come look and see what damage your stupid missouri is costing at the lake! i go there every year and more and more water is gone for what? notheing! now that there is not a lot of water left people have to find a a different place to go. they cant even keep there boats at fort stevenson because it is BONE DRY! missouri, you need to close down your falls because there is more money made here and it not fair that a NATIONAL PARK Can Not survive because of you!! there should be no reason why a NAtional park should close. also the lake was here before your stupid idea even came around. there for it is our right to protect what we have:our future,homes, and last but not least, our lake and population.... |
