At Sixmile Ponds during the summertime months highs are in the 90's; the overnight is a tad cooler of course, usually in the 60's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 40's while Sixmile Ponds nighttime low temperatures during the wintertime are in the 20's. This lake is so wonderful. Sixmile Ponds is not the only site close by, Tenmile Pond is a close by lake. Sixmile Ponds is a wet spot that gets lots       of rainfall; the wettest month of the year is regularly May, that's the one that rains the most; October on the other hand is the driest. After a long day outdoors Comfort Inn Charleston is a fine place to spend a night or two, and camping at Sixmile Ponds is wonderful fun, Reelfoot Lake State Park is a wonderful local campground.
