Silver Lake is a lake worth visiting. Keokuk Super 8 Motel is a great site to get some rest, and if you came to camp Camp Hickory Haven is a good place to do that. This lake is so wonderful. Near Silver Lake you locate Willow Bar which is a great location to visit. There's so much to do here at Silver Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Hickory Haven Campground is a tremendous site for that. For the period of the days of summer, highs generally are

| | in the 80's at Silver Lake, and throughout the night it cools down to the 60's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 30's, and overnight lows in the 10's for Silver Lake.

Madison; Pickens Lake Dam is a spot that is right next door to Silver Lake.
Have a wonderful hiking adventure along the Locust Lane Nature Trail, and a great place for whitewater paddling is Bear Creek. Silver Lake gets a typical
amount of rainfall; the wettest month of the year is typically July, that's the one that rains the most while February is typically the driest month. I don't want to stop, cause I'm havin' a great time here at Silver Lake. A pretty
lake like Stone Pond near Silver Lake is a nice place to visit, and of course Fox River flows through this vicinity.
