Get drenched paddling on Cedar Creek. Silver Lake is a good place of common rain; July is when you get the most rain here; February is when it's the driest. Hickory Haven Campground is a splendid local campground, and do take a hike on the Locust Lane Nature Trail. During the summertime highs here at Silver Lake reach the 80's while night lows are commonly in the 60's. Highs during the winter are regularly in the 30's,                  and after the sun is down all through the wintertime temperatures at Silver Lake sink into the 10's. A quick visit to Fox River next to Silver Lake is a magnificent idea, and not far from Silver Lake you'll hit upon Stone Pond which is a picturesque lake. What a location this is for outdoors people.
