Many people like to go to Shy Lake 2. You just can't picture the amount of outdoors cool things the Ozarks has to offer. The Johnson Natural Area Backpack Trail offers hiking at its best, and Shy Lake 2 is delightful enough to spend more than a day at, Big Creek RV Park is a delightful local campground. The Ozarks scenery is always beautiful. The views at Ozark National Scenic River will blow your mind, and if you come at the right time of year, Big Creek offers

| | some great whitewater.
This lake is so wonderful. Throughout the warmest time of the year at Shy Lake 2 highs are usually in the 90's. Throughout the dark hours of summer temperatures plunge down into the 60's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 40's while the cold winter nights at Shy Lake 2 are in the 10's. A pleasant place to camp here at Shy Lake 2 is Sam A Baker State Park, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Taum Sauk Trail.

Shy Lake 2 is a wet spot that gets much precipitation; all through the month of March you get the most rain around here; January on the other hand is the driest. This lake is so wonderful. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody
but if it's for you then we recommend Crane Pond Creek, and tremendous water scenery is available at Shy Lake Dam in close proximity to Shy Lake 2. Be careful coming to Shy Lake 2, you might not ever want to return back home again.
There's fine hiking along the Crane Lake Trail, and why not a little side spree to Black Creek.
Whohoo, so much entertaining stuff in one place! The Ozarks is unbeatable! Des Acre Hollow is close to Shy Lake 2 and is absolutely a pleasant place to stop by, and you're probably keen on lakes, Shy Lake is one of those close by.
