The beauty of Shy Lake attracts many people from all around. Shy Lake sees pretty high levels of precipitation; of all the months in a year March is the one with the most rain while January is the month with the least amount of precipitation. The warmest time of the year at Shy Lake comes with high temperatures in the 90's. Summer night lows plunge down to the 60's. For the period of the winter highs are in the 40's while Shy Lake night low temperatures all through the

| | winter are in the 10's. This lake is so wonderful. There's some out of the ordinary stuff to make out at Shy Lake Dam close to Shy Lake, and swing by Black Creek it's a great spot to visit.

of Shy Lake? Shy Lake is in the neighborhood, and get wet paddling on Big Creek.
And if that's not enough there's loads more cool stuff to do in the Ozarks. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Shy Lake has to offer,
you can camp at Big Creek RV Park; don't leave Shy Lake without first going for a hike along the Taum Sauk Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Now, you may imagine that's a load but there's even more exciting stuff to do here in the
Ozarks. Go for a hike on the Johnson Natural Area Backpack Trail. There's so much to do here at Shy Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Sam A Baker State Park is a great location for that.
There's just no way somebody
can get bored here at Shy Lake. Going for a hike on the Crane Lake Trail is always a tremendous adventure, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Crane Pond Creek.
